Current Projects

McClane Slough Cleaning

McClane Slough is the primary drainage canal within the BDIC. All water flows to this canal then to the pumps. BDIC has successfully cleaned the Inglis bridge area in 2023 and will continue to clean both upstream and down.

Roughly half of the BDIC acreage has been under a water right since the late 1970s. The BDIC has been working towards a water right for the other interested landowners.

Levee Certification

BDIC is attempting to maintain certification of the levee system with FEMA and the USACE. This includes undergoing periodic inspections and addressing the concerns arising from those. As of December 31, 2022 BDIC is Provisionally Certified, meaning that we used to be certified but are not currently.
